Earned Success
Prior to 2006, Bryon proudly served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, leading a Bomb Disposal Unit based in San Diego, CA. Bryon’s technical skill and leadership ensured his eight-man team was ready to deploy to any location in the world to neutralize both surface and underwater unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other munitions.
As Bryon approached the end of his military service, he was introduced to the financial services industry by his wife, and now business partner, Chau Lai. Bryon was intrigued by the parallels between protecting people and property from the weapons of war, and protecting consumers and businesses from the often unseen financial landmines in their paths.
His new mission was clear. Initially, help clients secure their source of income. From 2004 through 2006 he served as the exclusive Disability Income Specialist for the University of CA, Los Angeles School of Dentistry, assisting nearly 300 dentists protect their financial futures.
As his clients matured in their practices and businesses, so too did Bryon, assisting them in maintaining financial security and building wealth through efficient cash flow planning, risk management and asset class coordination.
Specialization
Today, Bryon’s practice has grown to include other medical professionals, retired military professionals and small business owners. To better support the ever-changing needs and goals of his clients, Bryon has expanded his services to include tailored retirement income strategies, succession planning for business owners, life insurance planning and effective asset allocation and coordination. While his list of services has continued to evolve, the underlying philosophy remains unchanged: Address each threat as quickly as possible and neutralize it, while always keeping an exit strategy open. This approach to personal and business finance has served his clients well, even during the worst economic times in recent memory.
Commitment to Education
Bryon continually increases the value he can offer to clients through ongoing education and investment in his business. He holds Series 7, 65, 63 and 6 FINRA Registrations, and is currently earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. He is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Cum Laude. In addition, Bryon is currently writing his first book, entitled Goldmines and Landmines, designed to give readers access to personal financial power through the awareness and avoidance of the many elusive and potentially crippling financial landmines in their paths.
