PhilosophyMany of us may have an idea of what our “ideal financial plan” might be, yet have never fully achieved it or realized it. We may have had previous financial plans that are pretty good, but miss the mark, or have never had a plan to begin with-just doing what we know based on what we’ve learned. Steve believes the perfect plan should include the following four points:
It is precisely this last point where most plans fail, and exactly where Steve concentrates his efforts to help ensure the hopes and dreams that people have come to fruition.
Steve is a people-person and is able to hone in on what is important to each individual as it relates to their business and family. Although he cannot determine the exact amount of money it would take for someone to retire comfortably and remain comfortably retired (who can with the cost of inflation and taxes moving constantly), he can come up with target numbers that are achievable, and help ensure that he continues that goal with the person being helped until it is reached-whether that person is 18 or 68.
Of course, wealth building and retirement would not be possible if one did not have an income to provide for their business, family hopes and dreams. So as of September 15th 2011, Steve has taken a slightly different direction with PA, and is now a Disability Insurance Specialist to financial advisors, brokers and planners in the Inland Empire, Orange and San Diego Counties. While individual planning is still important, the message of income protection is one he feels passionate about and is trying to spread the word as fast as he can.
He is gaining ground in the community, and even has a Disability Policy Analyzation Unit to ensure that clients know what they are purchasing, and what the policy language dictates for them to receive benefits, whether it be a Guardian/Berkshire policy or not.
Steve has been in the financial services industry for over 13 years. He initially helped clients get the best mortgage rates when he worked with a prominent mortgage company in Claremont. He decided to switch gears by working on more of a macro level by expanding that financial scope to include assisting people achieve all their short and long term goals. Believing strongly that children are our future, Steve has devoted a lot of his free time to our young boys to help them become outstanding young men. He is currently the Cubmaster for Pack 408 in Claremont, CA and Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 601 in Upland, CA. Steve is married to Amy, and has three children-Jacob, Tyler and Livia.
Steve will always be a student, as he helps clients. He is continually taking classes and reads the trade papers, to keep pace with how whatever strategies or ideas implemented for clients will last for a lifetime.
